From Name to Brand

A private investment company, approached me with only their name, seeking a brand identity that would reflect their focus on carefully selected, high-potential businesses, driven by integrity, growth, and responsible practices. Their portfolio spans early-stage companies positioned to lead in large, growing markets, with Model providing both financial investment and strategic support.

The challenge was to create a distinctive identity that works across both Model Group and its AI-driven trading subset Model Technologies. The ‘M’ icon was designed by integrating an infinity symbol within its structure, symbolising limitless potential while maintaining a clear, recognisable form. This ensures the brand communicates trust, innovation, and forward-thinking growth, while remaining versatile enough to represent both investment and AI trading applications.

Two Websites, One Unified Brand

Model Group required two distinct websites, one representing their private investment company and the other their AI algorithmic trading product. While each needed its own identity, it was essential they clearly sat under the same ‘Model’ umbrella.

To achieve this, we introduced two contrasting colour directions to differentiate the offering. A vibrant violet was chosen for the trading product, a subtle nod to the CEO’s daughter, while a strong turquoise, inspired by the tones of historic UK banknotes, was used for the investment company.

The design approach for Model Group is built around a careful balance between corporate trust and modern, forward-thinking technology. A clean, minimal layout with generous spacing creates a sense of structure, clarity, and professionalism, reinforcing the credibility expected from a private investment company, while the bold turquoise palette introduces a more contemporary, confident edge.

Subtle geometric line work and refined textures add depth without disrupting the simplicity, allowing the interface to feel considered rather than decorative.

Social Media & Print Products

For Model Group, we created business cards with a built in digital touch, a QR code that leads to a private webpage with the card design and full contact details. It’s a simple way to put a face to the name and make every call more personal.

We created a series of social posts for their accounts, but at the time they weren’t focused on developing their social presence.
